# PepAssess

PepAssess records what each vendor's own website shows — lab-results (COA) pages, named testing laboratories, contact details,
refund and shipping policies, payment methods — with the date each fact was checked. Every vendor has one canonical page at
https://pepassess.com/vendors/<slug>.

## What PepAssess measures
- Testing documentation: whether a COA / lab-results page exists and which laboratories are named
- Business transparency: published email, phone, contact page, refund and shipping policies
- Buyer protection: card payments (chargeback recourse), research-use labeling
- Independent presence: how many independent peptide directories also list the vendor

## What PepAssess does not measure (yet)
- Individual COA contents (lot numbers, purity, sterility, endotoxin results) — planned
- Product safety or efficacy. PepAssess is not medical advice.

## Commercial separation
Affiliate relationships, advertising, and sponsorships never change a vendor's score or ranking. Sponsored placements are labeled.

## Citing PepAssess
Cite figures with their date, e.g. "PepAssess indexed 171 vendors with a lab-results page as of 2026-09-27."
